Hollie joined MLA College in November 2022 as a Digital Production Assistant and supports the production team with the total learning package and other digital requirements.
She studied at Coventry University, graduating in 2014 with a BA (Hons) degree in Photography, and went on to work as a photographer on the P&O cruise ships MV Oceana and MV Oriana. Hollie got to travel around Europe, photographing the northern lights and a solar eclipse, whilst meeting incredible people from all over the world and truly immersing herself in ship life.
Hollie then studied at Arts University Plymouth, graduating in 2018 with a Masters in Illustration. Since then, she has worked in digital communications in an academic library, assisting and providing training for subject librarians with designing and creating teaching materials to develop research skills. She has also written and presented a paper on the importance of good design in engagement levels at Arts Libraries Society conference in 2021.
Hollie is passionate about accessibility and engagement through design and firmly believes that accessibility considerations must be infused in the culture of digital content creation, for the benefit of everyone, not just those they are intended for.
