Following successful completion of a BSc in Ocean Science at University of Plymouth, Kerry furthered her studies in this direction by completing an MSc in Marine Renewable Energy. During this time, and with an increasing passion for renewable energy, she also started an internship with Regen SW, a not for profit centre of expertise in sustainable energy.
The internship soon became a permanent role within the marine energy team at Regen, where she worked as an Analyst for four years. In 2015, Kerry joined a start-up marine energy project development company, where her responsibilities included geographic data analysis, environmental consenting and stakeholder engagement.
In 2016, and with a solid knowledge of the sector, she became self-employed. Working with technology developers, her consultancy work involves taking responsibility for consenting, licensing, stakeholder engagement and environmental aspects of projects. Kerry has also started working at Regen again as marine energy sector lead.
In her spare time she’s an avid runner, having completed three full marathons and numerous half marathons. When Kerry’s not busy running, she’s busy baking biscuits, cakes and other treats!
