Full Time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Engineering
Position Overview
MLA College is expanding its team to develop new distance-learning programs aligned with its growth objectives. Emphasising employability, student engagement, and experience, we seek academic staff with professional practice and scholarly backgrounds. Preference is for candidates with experience in Maritime Engineering or Engineering Management, but all Engineering backgrounds are welcome.
The position is based in Plymouth, UK, supporting both existing and new trans-national degree programs, with occasional international travel expected. This role will allow you to thrive by the sea and on land as Plymouth offers a winning combination. As an Associate Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in tutoring students on our Masters in Advanced Hydrography for Professionals programme. You will work closely with our students, sharing your expertise and practical experience to help them develop the skills required for success in this field. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of future hydrographers.
Key Responsibilities
Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development.

Qualifications
A minimum of a Masters degree (or equivalent) in Hydrography or a related field.
Background in operational Hydrography, with a proven track record of practical experience.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
