The team at MLA College would like to wish everyone a very happy World Environment Day!

MLA College is committed to promoting the conservation and sustainable use of the environment for the advancement of the global community, as well as developing people who are committed to values that benefit humanity.  We believe that key to this is education, and we are delighted to introduce our new, innovative BSc (Hons) Global Sustainable Development programme.  Developed in collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research affiliated International Training Center for Authorities and Leaders, CIFAL Istanbul, this new programme enables our students to take the skills and knowledge they develop during their studies back out into their local communities to help them deliver against the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  More information about the course can be found on our website.

This World Environment Day, learn how all living things on Earth are connected in the web of life and how we can act #ForNature

MLA College Rector, Professor John Chudley PhD CEng FIMarEST is delighted to have been invited to present at this year's IMarEST Annual Conference, which will this year be held as a flexible two-week virtual event.

Building on last year’s inaugural event, the 2020 Annual Conference will feature multiple streams covering many of the hottest topics in the marine realm, from the challenges of decarbonisation and a wider shift to greener, more sustainable ways of operating to developments in the naval sector and the outlook for autonomous systems.  More information can be found here.

Professor Chudley will be presenting 'Distance Learning in a Professional Context: The MLA College Experience', an interesting and informative look at how MLA College has taken an award winning, innovative approach to education.

MLA College is excited to announce our brand new, innovative BSc (Hons) Global Sustainable Development programme.

The programme is developed in collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research affiliated International Training Center for Authorities and Leaders, CIFAL Istanbul.  The programme follows a pathway of activity that inculcates high expectations of study and research practice, leverages the power of open source solutions to allow those less economically able to participate in the understanding of their world, and then takes those lessons back out into their local communities to help them deliver, in ways small or large, against the UN SDGs.

More information is available on our website.

MLA College is pleased to announce it will be awarding a number of bursaries in 2020/2021 to applicants who have annual incomes of less than £25,000 (or equivalent). Bursaries will also be available for women (UK or non-UK residents) to support Women into Maritime and Women into Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM).

Each bursary awarded will be for the period of registration and the single payment of £500 will be made on completion of the initial enrolment process and payment of tuition fees, following the production of the required evidence.  Please note this is not an annual award.
