UK students can now apply for student loans

MLA College students from the UK, and some from the EU/EEA residing in the UK, can now apply to the Student Loans Company to help support their studies.

This news comes following the College’s registration with the Office for Students (OfS) as a recognised Higher Education provider in the UK.

Undergraduate (UG) students enrolling onto the BSc (Hons) Sustainable Maritime Operations programme can apply for a loan of up to £4,500 per academic year to pay their tuition fees. This loan is paid directly to MLA College.

In addition, UG students can apply for a means tested maintenance loan to cover day-to-day expenses and/or equipment which is paid to the student.

Undergraduate students should visit https://www.gov.uk/student-finance for information on eligibility and how to apply.

Postgraduate (PG) students enrolling onto either the MSc Sustainable Maritime Operations (taught programme only) or the MSc Advanced Hydrography for Professionals (taught programme only) may also apply.

PG students can apply for up to a maximum of £11,570, split over the duration of the programme and paid directly to the student. PG loans can be used for living expenses or paid towards tuition fees.

PG students should visit https://www.gov.uk/masters-loan for information on eligibility and how to apply.
