On Friday 16th February, St Andrews Church in Plymouth was buzzing with excitement as the University of Plymouth’s graduation ceremony unfolded. With almost 200 graduates in attendance, it was a day filled with joy and celebration, marking the achievements of these scholars as they prepared to embark on their next adventures.
One group that stood out among the crowd were the graduates from MLA College, who had journeyed from places as far-flung as Samoa, Singapore, and Brazil just to be part of this special occasion. Their presence added an extra layer of richness to the event, showcasing the global reach of MLA College.
For these graduates, the road was paved with hard work, late nights, and perhaps a few moments of doubt along the way. But on this day, all of that was overshadowed by a sense of pride and accomplishment. As they walked across the stage to receive their diplomas, surrounded by friends, family, and fellow graduates, the magnitude of their achievement was impossible to ignore.
After the formalities were over, there were hugs, laughter, and plenty of photographs to capture the memories of the day. The graduates were then hosted within the MLA facilities where they enjoyed a celebratory lunch and a chance to meet with the staff who had supported their studies from across the seas. In a distance learning environment, the opportunities to meet face-to-face are often slim but graduation ceremonies provide a platform for students to share some time with their tutors and the many other staff members responsible for the delivery of MLA College programmes.
